Flashy Watches

Wrist Watch Fashion Statement

By: Eddy Valdez.

Honestly, I can’t deny I do love jewels; flashy chains, icy watches, rings. Who doesn’t wanna have his neck or wrist all rocked up and icy as sun makes you shine when it reflects. However, not everybody may be able to get such expensive jewels…but who said it’s impossible?, me. In fact, I wouldn’t hesitate to save some dough just to buy a high expensive ass Aqua Master watch, they drive me insane. Whether I’m just tryna’ show off or impress ladies, it’s always gonna be fascinating; cause they’re so valorous and luxury, and because of that you might wanna sell your eyes or lungs to get money and buy them… just kidding. I know I sound like a maniac who only thinks in diamonds and that pimpin’ shit, well… you’re mistaken sir, I do know lotta’ things about this shit. The new Avianne Men King Collection got some hot wrist watches, most of em’ are icy combined with some smooth skinned leather, I’d rather use em for casual or specials moments. Benny Watches [US$9, 000.00 and up] got this bling bling shit locked up as well and all of the designs come with diamonds and leather. They come in series; the 2005 collection got 5 different models which variate depending on the diamond level. I wouldn’t aim for any of em’ [Benny and Avianne] cause they botch got this special feeling that wont let you decide wich one you really want, exactly. Joe Rodeo has just released its JoJo Collection and got some fine watches. Techno Master, Rolex and Swiss Watches are eligible also, but too common for me. Definitely, I’m not rich or something close to that, but why not know about these things, that don’t cost a thing anyway, plus cause you never know when life may surprise ya’ll, you must be ready and know about these things.

Don’t miss out my next number and about Gucci and sport clothes, like Nike and Adidas Old School and its hotter kicks, also, a short analysis about old school rides, those are my likes of course. One.

2 Mics Are Betta' Dan One

DPG-Unit Takes Over

A few weeks ago, Snoop said that he recently told 50 Cent they should do an album together, and now it looks like the "P.I.M.P." video co-stars might make the idea a reality. Under the supergroup moniker of "DPG-Unit," the Dogg Pound and G-Unit have recorded almost an entire LP worth of material together while on the Rock the Mic Tour.

"We're gonna take over the whole world," Snoop's cousin Daz told MTV.com of the joint venture. "We got a song with me, Snoop Dogg, [Snoop's protégé] Soopafly, Young Buck, Lloyd Banks and 50 Cent for the G-Unit album."

The six MCs recorded nine other songs in a three-day period while on tour, but do not have definite plans yet as to where the remaining tracks will pop up. The supergroup doesn't even have a record label to put an album out, but members have been toying with the possibility of using 50's G-Unit Records as a recording home.

"Eight [bars], eight [bars], eight [bars], then a hook. Eight, eight, eight, then a hook," Daz revealed of the DPG-Unit's song structures. "We're going back and forth. It's all about coordination. Sometimes we're in there doing our parts while [members of the G-Unit] are onstage. Sometimes they're doing their parts while we're onstage. We'll be in there sometimes together. Especially after the show, we have our little parties and whatever. We be having a good time. We're trying to make it a whole album, just unite together and keep it crackin.' "

So far, the Dogg Pound and G-Unit have had a spotless record of success with their collaborations. It was Daz who brought 50 and his tour DJ, Whoo Kid, the Tupac vocals that wound up being used for the underground smash "The Realest Killas." Meanwhile, with Snoop appearing on 50's "P.I.M.P" remix, that record has also become a fan favorite.

Daz, who's also working out a solo recording deal with Jermaine Dupri's So So Def label (see "Jermaine Dupri To Sign 3LW, Former Dogg Pound Member Daz"), says his ties to the G-Unit go back further. As it turns out, Young Buck has been a friend of his for years.

Now, apparently, the camaraderie is running rampant throughout both camps.

"We'll all be talking to the G-Unit and tell them, 'Y'all are just like us.' We all like the same things."

Old School Gangsta Rap

N.W.A.  BIO

N.W.A., the unapologetically violent and sexist pioneers of gangsta rap, is in many ways the most notorious group in the history of rap. Emerging in the late '80s, when Public Enemy had rewritten the rules of hardcore rap by proving that it could be intelligent, revolutionary and socially aware, N.W.A. capitalized on PE's sonic breakthroughs while ignoring their message. Instead, the five-piece crew celebrated the violence and hedonism of the criminal life, capturing it all in blunt, harsh language. Initially, the group's relentless attack appeared to be serious, vital commentary, and it even provoked the FBI to caution N.W.A.'s record company, but following Ice Cube's departure late 1989, the group began to turn to self-parody. With his high-pitched whine, Eazy-E's urban nightmares now seemed like comic book fantasies, but that fulfilled the fantasies of the teenage, White suburbanites that had become their core audience, and the group became more popular than ever. Nevertheless, clashing egos prevented the band from recording a third album, and they fell apart once producer Dr. Dre left for a solo career in 1992. Although the group was no longer active, their influence -- from their funky, bass-driven beats to their exaggerated lyrics -- was evident throughout the '90s.

Fue Otra Cosa

Fue Otra Cosa

Por: Eddy A. Valdez.

(Spanish)

No era amor, fue otra cosa;
